CONSTITUTION

Article 1: Name and Purpose

1. Name: The organization shall be known as Kyokushin Budokan.

2. Purpose: Kyokushin Budokan is dedicated to preserving and promoting the values of Budo Karate, as envisioned by Masutatsu Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin. We aim to ensure Kyokushin Karate is accessible to all, irrespective of age, background, or financial circumstances, so that as many individuals as possible can experience its physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Our goal is to create well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to society through karate.

Article 2: Vision and Mission


1. Vision: Our vision is to build a global network of dojos where Kyokushin Karate, rooted in the principles of self-improvement, respect, and humility, is practiced and shared. We aim to foster environments where individuals of all backgrounds develop their physical and mental strength, enriching their communities with Kyokushin's values.

2. Mission: We are committed to; Ensuring that instructors lead by example, fostering personal growth in their students.

3. Cultivating discipline, perseverance, and leadership qualities in students to help them excel both within and beyond the dojo.

4. Preparing students to be positive influences within their communities and leaders in their respective spheres.


Article 3: Core Values

1. Respect:All students are treated with dignity and respect. We encourage growth in a supportive environment while honoring each individual’s journey in karate.

2. Continuous Improvement: Both instructors and students commit to self-improvement. Instructors constantly develop their technical skills and teaching methods to provide the best guidance for their students

3. Safety and Inclusion: Kyokushin Budokan dojos are places of safety and belonging where all students, regardless of background or ability, are welcomed and supported.

4. Patience and Understanding: Instructors must show empathy, patience, and understanding, allowing students to progress at their own pace while promoting perseverance and discipline.

Article 4: Membership

1. Eligibility: Membership is open to any individual who wishes to practice Kyokushin Karate, without discrimination based on age, gender, ethnicity, religion, or financial circumstance.

2. Code of Conduct for Members: Members must show respect to instructors, peers, and the dojo at all times.

Discipline and perseverance must be demonstrated in training and daily life.

Humility, integrity, and an attitude of lifelong learning should be upheld by all members.

Members should contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.

Students must follow dojo etiquette and maintain safety in all training activities.

3. Termination of Membership: Membership may be revoked for violations of the organization's values, misconduct, or behavior that brings disrepute to Kyokushin Budokan. Decisions will be made by the insSub-Headlinetructors and senior leadership after proper deliberation.

Article 5: Instructors and Leadership

1. Instructor Qualifications: Instructors are required to:Hold the necessary rank within Kyokushin Karate.

Demonstrate ongoing commitment to self-improvement, both technically and personally.

Lead by example, embodying the values of Kyokushin Karate inside and outside the dojo.

2. Code of Conduct for Instructors: Instructors must treat all students with patience and understanding, adjusting training to individual needs.

They are responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful training environment.

Instructors should continue their own learning to provide the best possible instruction.

3. Leadership Structure:

The organization's leadership will consist of a Chief Instructor, Assistant Instructors, and a Board of Advisors.

The Chief Instructor will oversee all operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision.

Assistant Instructors will support the Chief Instructor in training, administration, and outreach activities.

The Board of Advisors will provide strategic guidance, assist with decision-making, and help foster community relationships.

Article 6: Goals and Objectives


Kyokushin Budokan’s long-term goals include:

1. Global Reach:Establishing dojos worldwide to make Kyokushin Karate accessible to people of all backgrounds.

2. Inclusivity for All: Ensuring that those from underprivileged backgrounds can access training through outreach programs, scholarships, and sponsorships. 3. Athlete Development: Supporting athletes in competitive tournaments at provincial, national, and international levels, while also nurturing future role models.

4. Community Partnerships: Building relationships with schools, media, and government departments to expand the reach and influence of Kyokushin Karate.

5. Collaboration with Other Organizations: Working with like-minded Kyokushin organizations to strengthen the practice and values of Kyokushin Karate globally.

Article 7: Amendments


This Constitution may be amended through a formal proposal submitted to the Board of Advisors. Amendments must align with the core values and principles of Kyokushin Budokan and will be ratified through a majority vote by the leadership team.

Article 8: Dissolution


DissolutionIn the event of the organization's dissolution, all remaining assets will be distributed to charitable organizations or initiatives that promote martial arts, physical education, or community welfare, as determined by the Board of Advisors.
